“Carmina Burana” – Magna Sinfonia, Lighthouse Concert Hall

It was a great pleasure to join in playing the piano in this great work with the fantastic Magna Sinfonia. With SoundStorm partnering this momentous event, 160 students from local schools sang (in Latin and German!), and Percussionists from Poole Grammar School played the demanding parts, both in Carmina, but also in John Adams’ “Short Ride in a Fast Machine”, and Mussorgsky’s “Pictures at an Exhibition” (Orch. Ravel)

Thanks to Ben, Chris and all the Magna Sinfonia team, for making this happen; an inspirational evening of music, which will be remembered by those young people for a long while!
